Network Support Engineer - ONSITE in Boca Raton, FL
This role will be responsible for supporting complex network configuration and infrastructure equipment. The team member will be expected to interact with customers, peers, vendors and partners to resolve customer issues as per contracted SLAs. The engineer will be responsible for projects/moves, adds and changes remotely and at multiple customer sites.Responsibilities
Configuration and migrations of various Cisco network technologies (routers, switches, firewalls & WLAN controllers) while providing superior customer experience.Provide network hardware/software support and create/maintain documentation and diagrams for multiple clients.Handle trouble tickets by phone or email to resolve customer and network issues to resolution in a timely manner.Troubleshoot complex network related issues, including routing, switching, SD-WAN, WAN/LAN failures, BGP and OSPFSupport firewall rule changes on Cisco / Palo Alto / Fortinet or Meraki FirewallsProactively review customers' infrastructure and provide recommendations based on findings.Work within required SLAs for the business and provide regular and frequent status updates.Ability to go onsite to customer locations when neededJob Requirements
Working knowledge of
OSPF, BGP, STP, Port Channels, MPLS, DMVPN & SD-WAN.Hands on experience and demonstrated expertise in the following:Cisco Nexus 7K, 5K and 2K configurationCisco Enterprise Networking (routing and switching) & Wireless (APs, WLAN Controllers, Prime)Cisco Firepower Threat Defense Appliances (VPN, HA configurations, IDS/IPS, NAT)Palo Alto FirewallsAny knowledge or experience with
Cisco Software Defined NetworksAdvanced knowledge and working experience with supporting network infrastructureGreat personality, team-building attitude with strong troubleshooting, verbal and written skillsAbility to multi-task between multiple clients and issues.This position will involve an on-call schedule, providing after hours support as necessary.Experience
Possess a college degree in Engineering
OR 3+ years technical experience as a Network Engineer.Preferred Qualifications
