Senior Azure Data Warehouse Architect

to join their team!

The Azure Data Warehouse Architect will play a pivotal role in transforming data into actionable insights and supporting decision-making across the organization. As the lead architect for our Azure Cloud Data Warehouse and Analytics environment, your focus will be on optimizing our Azure data infrastructure, modeling data, and developing ETL pipelines to integrate data into the Enterprise Data Warehouse. Reporting to the IT Director of Data & Analytics, you will collaborate with data providers and owners to monitor and diagnose underperforming solar systems using Microsoft Data Tools. Your expertise in data management, from ingestion to cloud administration, is crucial for this position.

Responsibilities:

Develop and optimize ETL pipelines on Azure Cloud platforms for efficient data processing and storage.Analyze and organize raw data to build effective data systems and pipelines, creating algorithms and prototypes for prescriptive and predictive modeling.Implement advanced data modeling techniques to integrate diverse data sources, enhancing data quality and identifying opportunities for data expansion.Lead the full lifecycle of data projects, from requirements gathering to development, testing, and deployment.Oversee all aspects of development processes, including testing, troubleshooting, and support activities.Collaborate with business units to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and availability for analysis.Define, document, monitor, and track key performance indicators (KPIs), providing regular reports to stakeholders and escalating technical issues as needed.Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in Azure cloud management and data warehousing to advance the organization's Business Intelligence and Analytical capabilities.Perform other related duties as assigned.Required Qualifications & Experience:

Over 10 years of experience in data management, with at least 5 years in Azure cloud administration.Proficiency with Azure Microsoft Databases, Azure Data Factory, and Azure Portal Administration.Expertise in Azure administration, including IAM, storage management, Azure Advisor, Azure databases, and Azure data monitoring tools.Advanced skills in Python programming, SQL queries, stored procedures, and SQL Server relational databases.Extensive experience in data modeling architecture, including Star Schema/Kimball dimensional modeling and designing slowly changing dimensions.Authorization to work in the United States.Thrive in a dynamic environment with strong planning and organizational skills.Clearly explain decisions and complex concepts to technical and non-technical colleagues and leadership.Translate business requirements into technical solutions and tasks for junior team members.Work with application owners and data consumers to understand and interpret requirements.Communicate challenges and solutions effectively to both business users and technical teams.Engage and influence stakeholders effectively.Nice to Have Skills & Experience:

Experience in the solar industry is a plus.Power BI and DAX experience is a plus.Python experience is a plus.Other Information:

Hybrid, 4 days onsite 1 day remote10% annual bonus
