This position is located in our Austin office with the option to work remotely one day per week, as per company policy.
Responsibilities:Be responsible for all phases of financial statement preparation for a variety of real estate owners, operators, investors, and managers located throughout the country.Work directly with various engagement teams throughout the interim period to complete required compliance testing and prepare for busy season, with the opportunity to travel to clients' offices.Develop client relationships by providing timely and unmatched client service, exceeding client expectations.Assist in managing, developing, and mentoring professional staff and interns.Effectively delegate responsibilities to others and monitor efforts of teams, when appropriate.Collaborate with other seniors, managers, and leaders in the firm in workflow management and development of personnel.Successfully research complex issues, apply findings to projects in a practical manner, and clearly communicate those findings to both clients and internally.Additional responsibilities as assignedQualifications:
Bachelor's degree in accounting or an advanced degree from an accredited university in accountingCPA credentials or ability to display progress toward completion of the examMinimum 2 years of prior Audit experienceExperience with HUD, Low Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC), Affordable Housing, and Excel strongly preferredMust have a strong sense of ownership for delivering high quality serviceExcellent team building and workflow management skillsCandidate must be able to maintain a calm demeanor in stressful circumstancesCandidate must be flexible and comfortable working in a team-oriented and collaborative management environmentHours required during peak season (60-70 hrs/week)
