Construction Project Manager provides project management and estimating for complex government construction projects. Plans, directs, and coordinates activities in accordance with company policies, procedures, and governmental regulations. Oversees multiple construction projects in multiple locations. Ensure regular feedback is shared with staff including timely completion of employee performance appraisals.Manage and develop assigned staff toward maximum job performance and career potential.Develop and improve upon assigned client relationships fostering a "trusted advisor" status.Understand and administer contract and subcontract agreements.Provide leadership to positively influence change.Foster and enhance design team, subcontractor, and vendor relations.Establish, update, and communicate the Master Project Schedule and manage its implementation.Work with preconstruction team in development of timely project start upManage budget and financial reporting, interpret, and analyze reports to ensure adherence to project budget.Utilize and incorporate project management software.Manage the project Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) program.Provide leadership in risk evaluation, contract negotiations, fee and pricing decisions.Understand, comply, and advise others on Doyon's business ethics and compliance programs.Demonstrate high standard of persona, professional accountability and integrity. Mentor staff to the same high standards.Manage and oversee project field operations and engineering processes and procedures.Drive competencies to team on requirements for insurance, labor relations, and employee relations.Drive enforcement of safety protocols by the project staff.Work with Finance to initiate the Pay Application process and follow up to ensure payment is received in a timely manner.Keep management informed on project and budget progress through regularly scheduled WIP and project review meetings.Support and drive utilization of various Doyon initiatives. Promote and utilize emerging technologies and innovations to support Doyon's sustainable competitive advantages.Provide leadership to foster an environment of diversity and inclusion.Travel required.QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor's degree required in Construction Management, Mechanical, Electrical, Civil Engineering, or related field.Minimum of 5 years direct Project Management experience in commercial, civil, or federal government projectsExperience working on U.S. Navy (NAVFAC), Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), or USAFB federal contracts.Extensive experience and knowledge of construction cost, scheduling, estimating, purchasing, and engineering principles and techniques, as well as accounting principles.Proven written and verbal communication abilities.Proficiency with computer applications, including Microsoft Office Suite of programs and scheduling software.Critical Path Method Scheduling experience.Advanced presentation skills.Ability to read, understand and interpret contract documents, drawings, specifications, scopes of work and project schedule.Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills.Preferred:Certification: OSHA 30, CPR-First Aid safety, EM-385-1-1 and Construction Quality Management for Contractors (CQMC) or ability to obtain certificationWORKING ENVIRONMENT: The majority of the work is performed in an indoor/outdoor setting with a wide variety of people in differing functions, personalities, and abilities.PHYSICAL DEMANDS: An individual will be required to perform climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, finger, grasp, feel, talk, hear, and repeat motions. Light Work: Exerting up to 40 pounds of force occasionally, and /or up to 15 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects is required.
