Overview:The national offices of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.), based in Louisville Kentucky, serve with mid-councils, congregations, worshipping communities, and partner organizations to carry forth the mission of Jesus Christ. This community comprises the staff of several national entities: the Office of the General Assembly, Presbyterian Investment and Loan Corporation, the Presbyterian Mission Agency, the Presbyterian Publishing Corporation, Presbyterian Women, and the Administrative Services Group.Position Purpose:
Manages the Presbyterian Investment & Loan Program’s sales functions to ensure corporate sales goals for loans and investments are achieved.Work Location:
Position can work in Louisville, KY or be deployed preferably outside of of North Carolina and Virginia.Reports to:
Chief Operating OfficerRoles and Responsibilities:1. Leads the corporation’s sales efforts for loans and investments by effectively managing the team of Relationship Managers.2. Provides sales representation and relationship management in assigned territory to potential and existing loan and investor clients.3. Provides consultation to prospective borrowers and investors in assigned territory and provides support to Relationship Managers doing same.4. Liaison to Mid-Council staff in assigned territory, attends/exhibits at Presbytery meetings and other national gatherings.5. Creates, implements, and presents sales webinars, workshops, and other presentations to mid-councils, potential borrowers, and regional and national gatherings.6. Analyze, underwrite and provide written support of each credit with loan recommendation.7. Other duties as assigned by Chief Operating Officer or Chief Executive Officer.Essential Position Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field or equivalent experience.A minimum of three to five years’ experience in sales. Three years of increasingly responsible experience in managing and building a sales team.Experience in a religious non-profit setting or financial institution. Knowledge and experience in, or understanding of, the Presbyterian (U.S.A) ethos and structure.Must successfully pass Series 63 Uniform Securities Exam within six months of hiring.Organizational/time management skills.Strong administrative and interpersonal skills to interact with ministers and lay leaders of the Church, as well as potential clients with diverse backgrounds and personalities.Exceptional oral/written communication skills.Strong computer skills, especially with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Powerpoint.Helpful Skills:Ability to work independently, set priorities for work, use initiative in time management, and be an effective and collegial team player.Have a deep understanding and commitment to cultural and racial ethnic inclusiveness. Values diverse groups, ethnicities, genders, communities, cultural constituencies and points of view. Able to relate well to people from all walks of life and of varying theological perspectives.Ability to speak one or more languages other than English very helpfulPhysical Requirements:
Frequent Travel is required.
