Full time, hybrid / $70,000-$80,000 annually / South Asian American Digital Archive / Philadelphia, PA Role Type: Full Time Location: Philadelphia, PA [hybrid; 4 days/week in office] Salary Range: $70,000 - $80,000 / year SAADA is seeking a Senior Marketing Manager to develop and execute marketing and communications strategies to further solidify SAADA as a national leader in community storytelling. Our team consists of ambitious, entrepreneurial, and conscientious individuals working together to build an institution from the ground up. They’re looking for a bold and tenacious marketing professional to join our dynamic team dedicated to creating a more inclusive American story. About the Role As Senior Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for developing and executing strategic marketing initiatives that drive brand awareness, community engagement, and revenue growth. By helping to deepen our relationships with our stakeholders and expand the SAADA community, you will play a direct role in creating a greater sense of belonging for more than 6.1 million South Asian Americans. The ideal candidate for this role will have a strong blend of strategic thinking, creative flair, and analytical skills. The Senior Marketing Manager will report to SAADA’s Executive Director and supervise the Creative Design Associate. Who SAADA Is Over the past fifteen years, SAADA has grown from a modest digital repository to a powerhouse of South Asian American stories. Our archive, storytelling projects, artistic partnerships, walking tours, lesson plans, films, and books help ensure that South Asian Americans are recognized as an essential part of the American story. SAADA has several new projects on the horizon in the year ahead: a walking tour to share the historical solidarities between South Asians and Black Americans in the fight for racial justice; a project to collect stories about South Asian American entrepreneurship and community-building; and they are producing our first animated film—about two pioneering South Asian women in Philadelphia in the late 1800s. As Senior Marketing Manager, you will play a key role in promoting these new programs, and SAADA’s work, to the public. Your Role & Responsibilities: Communications Strategy (30%) -Develop and execute comprehensive communications strategies that align with SAADA’s mission, vision, and goals, and effectively promote our brand, increase our visibility, engage target audiences, and drive revenue growth. -Monitor, evaluate, and report on the effectiveness of communications activities, using metrics and data to refine strategies, improve community engagement, and maximize our return on investment in marketing efforts. -Track emerging trends and developments within relevant sectors to inform strategic marketing decisions and increase the impact of communications campaigns. -Present communication strategies, plans, and results to SAADA’s Executive Director, providing insights and recommendations for future initiatives. Content Development (30%) -Oversee the creation and dissemination of SAADA’s brand identity and all marketing communications materials, including digital content, press releases, newsletters, and social media posts. -Collaborate with colleagues to develop content that reflects programmatic work, resonates with target audiences, and supports marketing initiatives. -Manage content production schedules and workflows to ensure timely delivery and publication across relevant channels. -Support relationships with external contributors, influencers, and industry experts to enhance the credibility and reach of SAADA’s content initiatives. Public Relations (30%) -Cultivate organic relationships with key media outlets, journalists, bloggers, and influencers to secure earned media placements. -Create compelling press releases, media kits, and other PR materials to communicate key messages and announcements to the media and the public. -Manage relationships with external agencies, vendors, and media partners to maximize communication reach and effectiveness. -Prepare SAADA’s Executive Director for media interviews, press conferences, and public speaking engagements, providing messaging guidance and support as needed. Other (10%) -Oversee the day-to-day management of direct reports, providing guidance, mentorship, and feedback to ensure your team exceeds performance expectations and objectives. -Pursue professional development opportunities and trainings. -Perform other duties as assigned by SAADA’s Executive Director. Requirements: -Strong background in marketing and communications roles, with 10+ years of relevant professional experience and a track record of successful campaign execution and revenue generation. Those with 5-9 years of relevant experience may be considered for the Marketing Manager role, with a salary range of $60,000 - $70,000. -Strategic thinker with the ability to analyze data, identify trends, and translate insights into actionable strategies. -Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively. -Strong understanding of digital marketing channels, including SEO, social media, email marketing, and content marketing. -Exceptional communication skills and attention to detail, with the ability to articulate ideas clearly and persuasively. -Creative mindset with a passion for innovation and continuous improvement. -Team player with strong leadership skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across departments. -Proven experience in team leadership and staff management. -Available for occasional travel, weekend/evening meetings and events, and time-sensitive deadlines. Salary & Benefits: The salary range for this position is $70,000 - $80,000 / year.
