The ideal candidate will have a broader range of experiences such as developing with JavaScript + Node.js and Python. The candidate will also have had successful experiences designing, implementing, testing, and deploying microservices preferably using containers.ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and maintain scalable, high availability software systems.Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.Collaborate with other software engineers, leads, and DevOps as an expert on reliability, performance, and efficiency to refine and develop new product features.Engage in full cycle development of microservices and drive projects to completion in a timely manner.QualificationsStrong technical knowledge of all phases of application development including analysis and programming.Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.5+ years of solid java experience that includes experience with microservices, REST APIs and RDBMS.Applicants with strong knowledge of Node.js and python are preferred.Knowledge of RDBMS such as MySQL/Postgres and NoSQL such as Elastic Search.Experience with version control systems like git and understanding of agile development methodologies.Proven track record of working independently as well as in a team.Self-motivated and self-directed.We are an Equal Opportunity Employer and do not discriminate against any employee or applicant for employment because of race, color, sex, age, national origin, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, political affiliation or opinion, medical condition, status as a veteran, and/or any other federal, state, or local protected class.
