JOB DESCRIPTION AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Verite Group, Inc. is actively recruiting top tier software engineering talent to join our development team. Verite Group, Inc. is both a software product development company and a consultancy.
2. Developers for this position will be active in all phases of software development: design, implementation, testing, deployment, and support. In this position, you will work within small teams to develop and deploy mission-critical systems, reverse-engineer applications, and associated protocols, and develop tools for complex data and network analysis. Applications developed will vary from stand-alone scripts to complex, multi-threaded client-server applications.
3. Successful candidates will be strong engineers who can prioritize well, communicate clearly, and have a consistent track record of delivery. The VG development team requires creative engineering balanced with high quality and customer focus. You will have the ability to work in an entrepreneur environment and be able to contribute to a high-energy team.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
1. A Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science or a related field.
2. Candidates should have the ability to program effectively in Java, JavaScript, C++, and Python, and be familiar with Android and BASH scripting, while being adaptable to learning additional programming languages as required.
3. Familiarity with running/operating/debugging in a Linux environment.
4. Experience writing and debugging multi-threaded applications.
5. Proficient knowledge of the TCP/IP stack and network protocols, particularly in relation to internet-based application communication.
6. Mobile Application Development experience with Android is required. Experience with iOS is beneficial, though not a prerequisite.
7. Virtualization Technology Experience (Android Emulators, VMWare ESXi, Linux KVM/libvirt, etc)
DESIRED EXPERIENCE:
1. Security Clearance: TS/SCI Clearance or ability to obtain one
2. Low level experience with Android kernel programming and Android device driver development
3. Experience interacting with the Android testing frameworks (UIAutomator, Espresso, Jetpack, Robolectric, etc)
4. Network protocol engineering work(reversing or designing protocols), knowledge of Wireshark, tcpdump, etc
5. Programmatic or automated interaction on an API level with cloud services (Azure, AWS, GCP, etc) for devops purposes
6. Linux based cloud platform deployment
7. Experience with reverse engineering applications, with Android reverse engineering being the most desirable.
