The Director of Marketing will be responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies to build brand awareness, drive fan engagement, and enhance all ticketing, sponsorship sales, and partnership goals for Utah Hockey Club - a franchise of Smith Entertainment Group (SEG). This position will oversee the development and execution of paid media and promotional efforts on Utah Hockey Club-owned channels. The Director of Marketing will create marketing strategies and oversee project management for campaigns that support various departments within the organization including ticketing, corporate partnerships, youth, community relations, public relations, people and culture, hockey operations, etc. This leader will have a proven track record in the sports industry to help drive opportunities, efficiencies, and creative strategies for Utah Hockey Club.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:Develop, grow, and engage a new hockey fan base through digital and traditional marketing campaigns by facilitating the creation of persuasive marketing materials.Oversee marketing/advertising including managing multi-channel marketing and advertising strategies to enhance ticket sales, sponsorship, hockey development, and branding goals utilizing analysis of appropriate metrics and research to measure the effectiveness of advertising and marketing campaignsManage all digital media and paid media buying strategies, organizing, leading, and maintaining all media flighting and copywriting for advertising campaigns, and managing all marketing budgets, invoicing, and budget pacingOversee digital agency relationships and collaborate on the annual paid media strategy that meets yearly KPIsPartner with the creative and production departments to create and distribute Utah Hockey brand and marketing assets across platformsOversee marketing and project management staff that liaises with all internal departments to support departmental goals, projects, and overall objectivesWith VP of Marketing, plan the annual marketing budget, and ensure campaigns and projects stay within the allocated budgetMaintain a strict adherence and enforcement of Utah Hockey brand style guidelines while maintaining a consistent look and feel throughout all touchpointsIn conjunction with the analytics team, monitor and report on paid and organic marketing efforts, identify insights, and implement changes to improve campaign resultsUtilize data-driven insights to inform decision-making and continuously optimize digital marketing efforts for maximum effectiveness and ROIEmbody the company values of Transparency, All In, Community Obsessed, One Team, and Scrappy.Other duties as assignedCOMPETENCIES:

Bachelor's Degree (Marketing preferred)Five years marketing work experience (sports or entertainment preferred)Flexible schedule with the ability to work nights and weekendsPHYSICAL DEMANDS:
