The Intermodal Sales Director is primarily responsible for selling intermodal transportation services and achieving sales targets with new prospectsThey are expected to identify new business opportunities, negotiate new customer contracts, and develop/maintain relationships with customersOwn and achieve/exceed annual sales targets within assigned territoryDevelop and execute strategic plan to achieve sales targets and expand Company’s customer baseBuild and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationshipsPartner with customers to understand their business needs and objectivesEffectively communicate the value proposition through proposals and presentationsReporting on forces that shift tactical budgets and strategic direction of accountsIdentify potential customers in the target market and complete appropriate research on the prospects business needsRegularly cold call for new prospectsDevelop relationships with prospective shippers, while maintaining existing customer relationshipsNegotiate prices, terms of sales, and/or service agreementsBe the primary point of contact for customers with regards to overall account managementPeriodically prepare and report results, status of accounts, and leads to managerComplete the expected number of customer appointments, follow-ups and leads weeklyMeet sales targets consistentlyBecome a subject matter expert on our business services, processes, and operations, and remain up to date on industry newsPerform other duties as assignedQualifications

Intermodal Sales Director

The Intermodal Sales Director is primarily responsible for selling intermodal transportation services and achieving sales targets with new prospects. They are expected to identify new business opportunities, negotiate new customer contracts, and develop/maintain relationships with customers. The job requires a high level of customer service with strong communication skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a larger team to achieve exceptional results.

Job Type: Full-time/work from home

Responsibilities• Own and achieve/exceed annual sales targets within assigned territory.• Develop and execute strategic plan to achieve sales targets and expand Company’s customer base.• Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships.• Partner with customers to understand their business needs and objectives.• Effectively communicate the value proposition through proposals and presentations. Reporting on forces that shift tactical budgets and strategic direction of accounts.• Identify potential customers in the target market and complete appropriate research on the prospects business needs.• Regularly cold call for new prospects.• Develop relationships with prospective shippers, while maintaining existing customer relationships.• Negotiate prices, terms of sales, and/or service agreements.• Be the primary point of contact for customers with regards to overall account management.• Periodically prepare and report results, status of accounts, and leads to manager.• Complete the expected number of customer appointments, follow-ups and leads weekly.• Meet sales targets consistently.• Become a subject matter expert on our business services, processes, and operations, and remain up to date on industry news.• Perform other duties as assigned.

This position offers a competitive base salary.
