Healthcare System is seeking a BC/BE Medical
Oncologist/Hematologist
to join its high-performing cancer team at a Commission on Cancer accredited Comprehensive Community Cancer Program. This position will practice in Battle Creek, MI four days per week and may see patients at another location in service area one day per week.

14-16 pts roughly / shift
EPIC EMR
3 Oncologist Physicians , 2 APPs , 2 Radiation Oncologists
New consults 1 hr, return appts 30 mins
9 office clinic exam rooms
19 infusion chairs with 6 private rooms
No bone biopsies are performed in clinic done by interventional radiologists
When on-call typically block 1 hr of day to round on patients in hospital , small amount of inpatients
Cancer Center is accredited by the Commission on Cancer and the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers (NAPBC) through the American College of Surgeons. The Cancer Care Center ranks among the top cancer care facilities in the United States (Commission on Cancer Comprehensive Community Cancer Program) and is one of only 25 hospitals to win the Commission on Cancer Outstanding Achievement Award three times in a row.

Hospital was the first hospital in southwest Michigan to use Positron Emission Tomography (PET) for tumor detection and staging information
Accreditation by The Joint Commission, earning its Gold Seal of Approval

Robotic surgery using the da Vinci Si HD Surgical System – the most advanced method of minimally invasive surgery
