Overview
THIS POSITION REQUIRES A HYBRID MODEL ONSITE SCHEDULE OF 2X WEEKLY.
The Clinical Research Education and Training Program Manager is responsible for supporting the educational growth and development of a diverse group of research personnel who support clinical research conducted at the Office of Clinical Research in the Dartmouth Cancer Center. Under direction of the director of operations and the research operations manager, this position contributes to the development and maintenance of a comprehensive orientation and training program to assure that all clinical research conducted is according to Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines and applicable Institutional, State, and Federal regulations and guidelines. This role will also develop and oversee regularly occurring training meetings for staff and updating training reference materials. In addition, this position is responsible for meeting the educational goals and objectives established by the office of clinical research management team.
Responsibilities
Develops, implements and continually updates and educational programs, curricula, courses, and learning materials for Dartmouth Cancer Center clinical research personnel.
Onboards and orients clinical research personnel.
Oversees the work and reporting structure of new hires until they meet knowledge competency milestones.
Responds to the day-to-day operations and concerns of newly hired staff.
Coordinates the training and organization of new clinical research staff to the organization.
Assists with evaluating training needs of existing personnel to identify knowledge gaps.
Provides refresher training and workshops as needed.
Manage and coordinate logistics for training activities.
Develops and utilizes appropriate evaluation systems to determine the effectiveness of educational activities.
Identifies areas for performance improvement and engages research personnel in improvement projects.
Conducts routine reports on performance improvement projects to ensure effectiveness of the progress and reports findings at departmental staff meetings.
Performs other duties as required or assigned.
Qualifications
3 years of clinical research experience
1 year of training/education experience
Demonstrated ability to deliver comprehensive training materials and training powerpoint slide decks.
