As a MuleSoft Architect, you'll collaborate with project teams to educate, guide, and empower clients through their digital transformation and optimization journeys. This role will design, architect and implement API solutions, application networks, and design MuleSoft frameworks and integration tools. Candidates must have experience in building integrations between external systems and Salesforce and enhancing efficiency for clients through building automations to meet business needs.

How You'll ContributeUse your experience architecting multi-tier applications to install and configure MuleSoft for new nonprofit clients and evaluate and recommend upgrades to existing systemsServe as the lead technical resource on MuleSoft implementation projectsLead technical requirements gathering sessions for integrations, conceptualize and create end-to-end integration deliverables, create technical specification documents, and recommend high quality solutionsMaintain expert-level knowledge and best practices as you guide, mentor and train other team members on MuleSoft application development, integration, and designing solutionsPlan, design, and build integrations that leverage the Salesforce platform to meet system architecture requirements for nonprofit clientsBuild client-specific solutions on the Salesforce Platform using Flow / Apex / Lightning Web ComponentsBuild integrations between external systems and Salesforce using middleware or custom API as neededBuild integrations between external systems and SalesforceAssist with migration of client's current CRM data to Salesforce and create custom code as neededCreate a library of reusable code for future project deploymentsProvide guidance and best practices around Salesforce development for both clients and staffSupport data migration legacy systems to Salesforce and create custom code where neededAdvise on Solution Architecture and project solution vision in the Idealist WayContribute to discovery process with clients using Story Navigator to determine ERD, need for custom code, and application integrationsReview project requirements to refine technical details and architectural components of project specificationsFacilitate UAT and contribute to test script documentation and bug fixes as neededDevelop and document user instructions and administrative maintenance requirements for use in our custom-coded Salesforce solutions for clientsDevelop and document user instructions and administrative maintenance requirements for use in the built solutionsStay up to date on third party applications and report on high level functionality, use case, and integration capacityProvide guidance and best practices around Salesforce integrations and automation for clients and project teamsYour Background Includes

Baseline requirements -4+ years of Salesforce Platform experience3-5 years hands on experience working with MuleSoft platformExperience providing technical solutions for NonprofitsProven expertise in Salesforce development environments, including Apex triggers/classes, Lightning Web Components, Flows, Visualforce pages/controllers, and advanced Salesforce configurations.Previous hands-on experience working with MuleSoft Composer for Salesforce, showcasing proficiency in utilizing its capabilities for integration tasks.Possession of a MuleSoft Certified Integration Associate or MuleSoft Certified Developer certification, validating expertise and knowledge in MuleSoft technologies and integration practices.Experience with REST API integrationsSalesforce Administrator Certification, Salesforce Platform Developer I, or Salesforce Platform App Builder CertificationExcellent verbal and written communication skills - with a knack for translating technical requirements to non-technical individualsExcellent problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complex business requirements to design effective integration solutions.Extra credit -MuleSoft Certified Integration Architect (MCIA) MuleSoft Certified Platform Architect (MCPA)Salesforce Platform Developer II or Nonprofit Cloud Consultant CertificationPrevious experience with Experience Cloud and Customer CommunityExperience with code repositories such as Github and BitbucketExperience with automation tools like Workato / ZapierAbility to solve a Rubik's cube with your eyes closedWhat You Can Expect

$80 - $100 an hour

Contractor hourly rates are set based on experience, certifications, and specialization. Idealist Consulting reviews all contractor rate bands at least once annually. Independent contractors define their own availability and capacity. Contractors are not employees of Idealist Consulting and are therefore not eligible for benefits such as healthcare coverage and paid time off. Independent contractors are required to carry their own professional liability insurance policy.
