As our Medical Surgical Nurse at CHI St. Vincent North, youll excel in your nursing career by providing care to patients admitted to our unit. Most of your patients are funneled in from other units providing you with the opportunity to build on your education and experience in specialized service lines such as cardiac, telemetry, orthopedics, neurology, critical care, surgical services, and emergency.Your success in this role comes from your enthusiasm to help others - with a patient-first mindset. We are part of CommonSpirit Health which operates 139 hospitals and more than 1,000 care sites across 21 states, making our services accessible to nearly 1 in 4 U.S. residents.If you are committed to social justice, health equity, and prepared to deliver care in new, innovative ways, you belong with us.Responsibilities:Expect to deliver care to 4-6 patients per shiftAdminister medications, change dressings, monitor vital signs, and chart with timely documentationCollaborate with a variety of other healthcare professionals such as social work, care coordination, physical therapy, occupational therapy, lab, respiratory therapy, and imagingWe are offering a $15,000 sign on bonus in addition to relocation to new hires who meet the eligibility requirements.Qualifications:Current Registered Nurse License for State of Arkansas, or compact state, prior to hireSix (6) Months Of Experience In an acute care setting required (New graduates are required to go through our residency training program)Previous neuro experience preferred, but not requiredBasic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association (AHA)While youre busy impacting the healthcare industry, well take care of you with benefits that include health/dental/vision, FSA, matching retirement plans, paid vacation, adoption assistance, and more!
