Position Summary:

As the Warehouse Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing all warehouse operations to ensure efficiency, quality, and safety. Your responsibilities will include leading a team of dedicated Memory Makers, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and fostering collaboration with other departments to optimize processes and achieve organizational objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and advocate the future vision of the Warehouse Department.

Set and achieve departmental goals aligned with Crystal D's overall objectives.

Lead by example, demonstrating exemplary leadership from the front.

Manage and organize the warehouse team to ensure efficient and safe handling of materials, including receiving, inspection, issuing, and delivery to internal customers.

Strategically manage inventory, proactively identifying and resolving discrepancies.

Cultivate a culture of continuous improvement throughout the warehouse.

Communicate effectively in English, fostering excellent interpersonal relationships with management, staff, and clients.

Demonstrate desirable managerial behaviors, including integrity, teamwork, leadership, effective communication, and confidentiality, fostering a cohesive working environment dedicated to organizational goals.

Collaborate effectively with staff, managers, executives, and individuals with diverse working styles to drive accountability and results.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualification and Skill Requirements:

Prior Experience:

More than 2 years in a warehouse leadership role and/or 5 years or more in a warehouse or distribution environment.

Knowledge Requirements:

Warehousing Best Practices:

In-depth understanding of industry methodologies for warehouse layout optimization, inventory organization, and workflow efficiency. Working knowledge of lean principles and 5S methodology. Aptitude for identifying and resolving operational issues quickly and efficiently to minimize disruptions and meet demands.

Safety:

Knowledge of OSHA regulations and best practices to maintain a safe working environment and ensure compliance.

Inventory Management:

Proficiency in inventory control techniques including leveraging ERP software and systems to effectively track stock levels, inventory work-in-progress, and optimize the flow of inventory throughout the warehouse to internal customers. Strong analytical skills to identify, diagnose root causes, and resolve inventory discrepancies through logical problem-solving.

Leadership:

Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team of warehouse staff. This includes effective communication, conflict resolution, and decision-making skills to foster teamwork, accountability, and a positive work culture. A demonstrated ability to lead by example, mentor employees, and drive performance improvements through coaching and development initiatives.

Business Principles:

Familiarity with financial principles such as budgeting and cost control. Understanding of supply chain dynamics and the connection of the warehouse to various business functions such as procurement, finance, and operations. Recognition of the importance of customer satisfaction or what we call “The WOW Effect” and the role of the warehouse in delivering a positive customer experience. Proficiency in personnel scheduling to ensure optimal utilization of resources and efficient workflow management within the warehouse.

Technical Requirements:

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word).

Experience with ERP systems for inventory management.

Ability to operate various types of material handling equipment safely and efficiently including forklifts, pallet jacks, and order pickers.

Comfortable with operating large box trucks.

Proficiency in leveraging technology such as handheld scanning devices and tablets.

Ability to analyze data and metrics to identify areas for improvement, optimize workflows, and enhance effectiveness.
