A day in the life

The Senior Technical Business Analyst will work with global business stakeholders to elicit, analyze, document, validate, and influence business requirements and processes to support data, process improvement, policies, information systems, analytics, and reporting related to the Leasing, Legal (primary) and document generation and administration capabilities. The role resides within the IT Business Capability Engineering team and reports to the Product Manager of the capability. The role engages with the business stakeholders and solutions delivery teams to develop/enhance technology solutions, business processes, and change management. This role will be expected to actively engage in strategic conversations with senior business leadership.

Key Responsibilities Include

Elicit articulated and unarticulated business requirements through in-person or virtual interactionsChallenge and influence business partners on requirements to support and align to enterprise- wide objectivesDocument requirement descriptions, acceptance criteria, and functional design requirements, as well as any associated data definitions/use cases that align to data governance and data lineage standardsAnalyze business technology and process solutions to determine solutions’ priority, measurable business value, global impact, and ROI benefitAnalyze and document the anticipated impact solutions will have on other stakeholders, processes, and related systems functionalityProvide direction for and manage 3rd party resourcesCollaborate with solution delivery team to prioritize requirements in upcoming releases as well as the full requirements backlogProactively communicate potential cross-functional dependencies and risks, and provide propose mitigation plans or interim workaround solutionsEnsure solution delivery team efforts align to broader/cross-functional prioritiesProvide guidance, support and constructive feedback to internal and external team membersPartner with quality assurance team during testing activitiesPerform detailed Business Analyst approval and testingIdentify and resolve conflicts and negotiate changes in priorities, design, and/or scopeFacilitate business demonstrations and discovery workshopsSupport technology and process change management efforts including communications, planning, impact analysis, training etc.Successfully engage in multiple, simultaneous initiatives, and report progress toward delivery goals including the estimated time needed to deliver artifactsAble to work independently with minimal supervision, with equal ability to work collaboratively on a team and accept constructive feedback

Building blocks for success

Required

3+ years of financial, business analysis, consulting, and/or data analysis experienceExperience working on application development and/or technology implementation using multiple methodologies including waterfall, Agile, and hybrid.Experience facilitating process improvement workshops and implementing process changesDemonstrated critical thinking skillsStrong interpersonal skills required to build trust and respect with executive, senior business leadership, solution stakeholders, and solution delivery team membersInstinct to ask relevant probing questions that get to the “why” behind business requests to achieve exceptional outcomesWork effectively with diverse teams of people with multiple perspectives and talentsComfortable with consensus building and soliciting constructive feedbackSelf-motivated focus on continual development, results delivery, high performance, accountabilityProven ability to multitask, and effectively manage/prioritize time across competing activities/resourcesStrong verbal/written communication skills with the ability to distill meaningful and accurate information from potentially ambiguous business descriptionsAbility to analyze and articulate the value of proposed solutions/requirements

Hiring Salary Range of: $94,000 - $130,000. Salary to be determined by the candidate’s location, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.This role is also eligible for Prologis’ commission plan.
