OVERVIEW:
The Aftermarket Application Engineer is tasked with performing daily facility engineering duties and creating engineered proposals.. This position demands a well-organized, detail-oriented individual who excels in a fast-paced team environment. The Aftermarket Application Engineer will collaborate closely with our internal KSB team (Sales, Purchasing, Logistics, and Operations) and directly with end-users to effectively handle customer quotes and resolve pump repairs accurately.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provides engineering support for part and pump application issues and system challenges Offers technical support and serves as an interface for service center repairs Guides the technical team in site service, pump installation, and equipment startup Provides expertise in pump maintenance and delivers operational training. Leads resolution of Product Field Complaints (PFCs), including quality investigations and warranty support Generates proposals for sight-unseen engineered pump repairs and parts. Develops and maintains knowledge and hands-on experience with mechanical or auxiliary equipment Capable and willing to work both in an office environment and hands-on in the field Applies general rules to specific problems to derive practical solutions. Manages own time and project timelines, prioritizing tasks for effective management of multiple projects simultaneously Shows attentiveness to urgency and timeliness, ensuring effective and thorough communication QUALIFICATIONS:
B.S. degree in Engineering and a minimum of two years of experience in centrifugal pump repair or field services Knowledge of AutoDesk or similar products Familiar with and able to effectively use all applicable MS Office applications and AutoDesk (AutoCAD/Inventor) ANSYS knowledge preferred Ability to work independently
