Spirit AeroSystems focuses on affordable, innovative composite and aluminum manufacturing solutions to support customers around the globe.Our FAA 145 Repair Station in Dallas, TX is currently seeking an experienced Quality Control Senior Manager to join our team. This key leadership position will oversee all Quality and FAA Regulatory activities, emphasizing customer focus, productivity, organization, prioritization, and a commitment to excellence.The role involves leading a team responsible for inspecting and evaluating incoming aerostructure parts, components, and subsystems of operational aircraft for overhaul and repair. The manager will provide direction to ensure compliance with FAA regulations and customer requirements by interpreting original equipment manufacturer technical data and company technical specifications.Reporting directly to the General Manager, the ideal candidate will drive compliance efforts across FAA/EASA/CAAC/AS9110 standards, manage customer surveillance activities, and facilitate responses to inquiries.If you are passionate about aviation, possess strong leadership skills, and have a background in quality control and regulatory compliance within aerospace, we encourage you to apply for this critical role in our Dallas repair operations.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:Overseeing the quality control and assurance function to maintain compliance with Part 145 requirements.Managing staff to uphold operational standards at the repair station.Ensuring inspection personnel meet 14 CFR Part 145 requirements.Establishing, modifying, and developing policies and procedures for Quality Control and Quality Assurance.Managing the Training Program and associated procedures.Maintaining repair station manuals and overseeing updates and notifications to regulatory authorities.Monitoring Airworthiness Directives for compliance and applicability.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:10 years of experience as an A&P with at least 5 years in Quality Control.Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience preferred, ideally within FAA Part 145, 121, or 135 operations.Bachelor's Degree preferred; relevant experience may be substituted for education.High proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Quality Management System software.Preferred Qualifications:Master’s Degree.Experience using SAP/MES.Aerospace industry experience.Experience establishing Quality Management Systems and/or AS9100 auditing.Six Sigma Green Belt and ASQ Certification.Spirit AeroSystems is an equal-opportunity employer and values diversity in the workplace.
