Position Summary:
This position is responsible for supporting the delivery of a full range of automated Treasury solutions and integrated system software applications relevant to treasury services. Position supports cross-functional teams of business and Treasury staff on strategic initiatives and enterprise projects. Position is responsible for understanding and supporting Treasury business interface points and proactively identifying improvement opportunities which reduce costs and improve automation for Treasury Services. Position will develop and sustain effective partnerships and liaison with key business staff members. Position coordinates with areas of Treasury, A/P, Revenue Cycle and Finance in providing support to assigned business customers and assures delivery of responsive high quality automated services.
Position Responsibilities:
Key Areas of Responsibility
1. Develop new treasury applications and possess a working knowledge of Treasury systems and banking solutions including Kyriba (Treasury Workstations), Bank of America’s CashPro, First Data Merchant Services Platform, PeopleSoft, Epic, etc. 2. Possess a working knowledge of treasury systems and banking solutions including cash accounting and bank account reconciliation processes. Educate Treasury staff and business personnel in the use of emerging bank and treasury technologies, as well as existing systems and platforms. 3. Supported by Finance IT designate designs, builds and maintains assigned applications and interfaces 4. Guides the development and execution of test scripts and testing methodology. Conducts testing for assigned applications 5. Assists in the development and management of a business continuity plan for banking and cash management applications 6. Participates in project management as assigned 7. Provides automation support and design for Treasury’s implementation of strategic plans to improve enterprise support capabilities. Projects include process change/improvement related to collections/disbursements, implementation of new products and M&A integration 8. Assist with the implementation and ongoing updates to the Kyriba system including system interfaces to the PeopleSoft and Epic systems. 9. Establish, document and monitor policies, procedures and user guidance for on line systems.
Education
· Minimum: Bachelor’s Degree in accounting/finance with minor in Information Systems or equivalent · Preferred: Master’s Degree
Experience
· Minimum o 5-7 years of relevant Treasury cash management experience o 1-3 years of financial application/systems experience o Travel to Hartford HealthCare sites within 30 miles of Hartford will be required occasionally · Preferred: 7-10 years of relevant cross functional Finance application architecture experience
Licensure, Certification, Registration
· Preferred o CTP (Certified Treasury Professional o PMP (Project Management Professional Certificate)
Knowledge, Skills and Ability Requirements:
· Excellent interpersonal, analytical and oral/written communication skills · Understands and applies knowledge of financial analysis and reporting, particularly as related to corporate budgets, financial statements and cash flow forecasting and reconciliation in multi-billion dollar, multi-organization enterprise · Proficient in project management coordination · Cognitive, written and verbal skills that enable the incumbent to communicate with finance department managers · Time management and the ability to meet stated deadlines. Attention to detail · Proficiency on analytical and spreadsheet software (Access/Excel) · Knowledge of Microsoft products, ability to adapt to new ERP systems. Demonstrated knowledge of Treasury Management systems · Successfully achieves personal/functional goals in a team/process environment.
