Objective Candidate responsibilities will include start-to-finish project direction, design, oversight, and quality control for various natural gas facility and pipeline projects. A successful candidate will have an extensive background in the design, management, and operation of natural gas facility/pipeline projects. Role and Responsibilities
Performing the following autonomously and providing professional and technical development, guidance, and instruction to a team of engineers:
Provide engineering design of new/replacement midstream projects. Potential projects include natural gas process plants, fractionators, stabilizers, TEG dehydration, amine treatment, compression stations, gathering/midstream pipeline systems, pipeline replacements, and metering and regulating stations Review project scope and establish the overall facility design, including front-end design conceptualization and optimization, Plot Plan, PFD and P&ID creation, construction of process control philosophies, generation of cause and effects / control narratives, etc. Oversee and develop site layouts and facility mechanical designs to ensure process objectives and code requirements are met Size relief valves and produce PSM compliant reports using software such as iPRSM Identify, size, specify and select process equipment, typically including gas process plants (cryo / JT / refrig), fractionators, stabilizers, compressors, dehydration systems, flares/combustors, flow meters, control valves, regulators, pressure relief valves, heaters, coolers, and filtration
Complete technical and commercial reviews of vendor-provided equipment Review AutoCAD drawings, 3D piping models, fabrication drawings, and Bill of Materials Generate process models in software such as BR&E ProMax, Aspen HYSYS, VMG, or similar for both greenfield projects and existing asset optimization and troubleshooting Aid project managers in developing schedules and budgets Generate PSM compliant flare studies Serve as process expert in client-led PHA/HAZOP Meetings Participate in site walkdowns, including as-builts Aid clients with facility commissioning and startup activities Ensure robust communication and coordination with business development, project management, procurement, equipment vendors, internal designers, and client project teams Periodically provide technical support and insight for Business Development initiatives to develop and promote new client relations Collaborate with in-house resources to share experience and increase the overall knowledge base as part of Entech's continuous improvement culture Qualifications and Education Requirements
BS in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering Minimum of 8-12 years of work experience in the natural gas industry and related technical field Licensed professional engineer (PE) preferred but not required Preference is given to applicants with experience in gas and liquids processing, compression, RNG, or similar Project management and business development experience a plus Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Strong knowledge of relevant industry codes and standards, particularly ASME B31.3/4/8, ASME Sec 8, and API 520 /521. Knowledge of Auto CAD design platforms; Plant 3D experience a plus Ability to acquire, interpret, and develop piping and fabrication drawing packages utilizing Auto CAD platforms for bidding, construction, and fabrication Strong understanding of fabrication and construction drawing package structure and layout is preferred Proficiency in Microsoft Office required; additional proficiency in Auto CAD Plant 3D and Civil 3D preferred Self-motivated and able to effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Well-developed technical skills in fluid dynamics and understanding of general construction processes Strong communication skills and an eagerness to work within a team setting Additional Notes
