This position is responsible for providing a leadership role in maximizing customer support and relations. Our sales consultants are also responsible for coordinating and executing all aspects of customer service, shipping, order management, invoicing, agronomic support, and the overall marketing vision of Beck’s.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist in greeting incoming phone calls, handle customer requests or direct them to the proper destinationAssess the urgency and importance of situations and take appropriate actionAssist and manage loading tickets and shipping schedulesProvide educational information on the entire product line and marketing programs and offer technical support to customers, dealers and in-house sales staffSupport and coach in-house sales staff and dealers concerning the marketing direction of the companySell and up-sell customersOffer agronomic support to customers both on the phone and in personField customer and dealer complaintsEnter orders, make order changes and execute transfers in Beck’s computer system, BESS NGInvoice all products using BESS NGCompile, evaluate, and report data as required by the Sales Support Manager or Sales Operations ManagerAssist with duties, presentations, and organization of materials as they relate to industry organizational meetingsSupport inter-office departments in assisting with customer inquiriesProvide feedback to the Sales Support Manager and Sales Operations Manager concerning trends in the industry as well as internal happeningsPerform other related duties as may be required by the Sales Support Manager or the Sales Operations ManagerRegional Locations Only* - Assist warehouse staff as needed to meet customer obligations
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education and training:Bachelor of Science Degree in agricultural related fieldMust possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and insurable driving record as determined by Beck’s automobile policy.Chauffer license or equivalent may be required.Characteristics for success:Ability to establish priorities, work independently, work as a team member, and proceed with objectives without supervisionCommitment to the mission and attitudes and actions of Beck’s HybridsPossess Positive attitude and Strong work ethicPossess strong agronomic skillsAbility to handle and resolve problemsBasic knowledge of modern office procedures and methods including telephone communications, office systems, computer systems, and record keepingExcellent computer and skills and familiarity with current office software programsDesire to stay informed concerning changes in the agricultural industryPossess a passion towards agriculture and the seed businessPhysical demands:Ability to pass DOT physical examination and obtain Medical Examiner’s Certificate may be required.May be required to lift up to 70 pounds unassisted.Experience:Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in agriculture salesIn an effort to provide a safer, drug-free workplace for employees, all full-time applicants to whom offers of employment are made must submit to a drug test and background check, subject to applicable local, state, or federal laws or regulations.
