Advocate Health, one of the nation's largest and most respected health systems, is seeking a Board-Eligible/Board-Certified Full-Time EMS Physician to join our physician-led medical group at Advocate Aurora Medical Center in Sheboygan, WI. This role combines both EMS responsibilities and clinical care, offering an exceptional opportunity for professional growth in a supportive environment.

Position highlights

  • Full-Time Employed Position: Split evenly between .5 FTE as EMS Medical Director and .5 FTE as an ED Physician.
  • Dynamic EMS Team: Join an active EMS team that includes an EMS physician, EMS executive director, and seasoned EMS educators.
  • Broad EMS Involvement:
    • Tactical EMS involvement with local and federal agencies.
    • Oversee two county 911 center EMD programs.
    • Field response vehicles for real-time education and oversight.
    • Participate in county public health programs and mass gatherings like Milwaukee Brewers games and Summerfest.
    • Engage in a high-fidelity simulation program.

 Position highlights- Clinical

  • High-Volume ED: 30,000 annual ED visits with high-acuity cases in a tertiary care setting.
  • Efficient Workload: Well-staffed ED with an average of fewer than 1.8 patients per hour.
  • Team Environment: Be part of a close-knit group of emergency medicine physicians with dedicated nocturnist coverage, resulting in very few night shifts.
  • Specialist Support: Access to a full range of specialty support and a strong primary care interface.
  • Shifts: Approximately 65 clinical hours per month, with a mix of 8- and 12-hour shifts.
  • Be part of an integrated nationally recognized organization with physician-led medical group and embedded service line
  • Leverage access to DAX Copilot, an AI-powered clinical documentation tool integrated with Epic, streamlining clinical workflows by generating draft patient notes for efficient review, editing, and signature
  • Experience a diverse and inclusive environment ensuring safe and equitable care for all patients
  • Compensation $251.45/hourly-$251.45/hourly with additional 20% night shift incentive

 Training and/or experience required

  • Fellowship training EMS
  • BE/BC Emergency Medicine
