Description

Powder River Industries, LLC provides technical services across the entire system development life cycle (SDLC). As a prime, we are responsible for complete end to end system management for a customer's mission system. This includes a data center, integrated logistics support, COOP, and disaster recovery. As a subcontractor we are providing services from: DevSecOps, software development, network administration, systems analysis, database administration, storage engineering, hardware engineering, Tier 1 - Tier 3 support in traditional data center environments (bare metal frames), cloud, and hybrid cloud. The cloud environments we are operating in today are AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Oracle.

Role & Responsibilities:

Network engineering design

Establish overall strategic network standards and priorities.Provide technical guidance and direction for TCP/IP transport network design and engineering, network routing protocols, advanced virtual networking technologies.Analyze the optimization of network system performance.Oversee the strategic interface of network systems configuration.Assess network engineering technologies, computing systems hardware, and software protocols.Provide high-level technical advice and guidance to managers and technical resources on network technologies to meet current and future organizational needs.Identify INFOSEC and COMSEC security requirements and engineering requirements for the enterprise.Switching, routing, segment routing and other technologies.Identify and make recommendations about products to best support operations.Create and review bills of materials and the configurations required.Communicate strategic technical direction to the team and customers as required.Document guidance and create support materials to sustain the enterprise as required.Assist in estimating levels of effort for technical work.Interview new personnel and assess technical skills, gaps, and training for existing team as enterprise evolves.Communicate technical risks and propose mitigations for them.Support project planning.Understand Linux/Unix, Windows operating system internals, including system security.Contribute to schedule development as requested.Contribute to metric collection as requested.Contribute to process development within the functional area and where the functional area connects to other operational processes.Conduct inventory as needed to ensure accurate tracking of government and/or company furnished assets.May perform other related duties as assigned.

Technical Environment: Microsoft, Linux, Splunk, Ansible, Tenable, GEMS

Non-negotiable Requirements:

1. Top Secret with investigation current within the last 5 years

2. On-site, no remote
