Description

Powder River Industries, LLC provides technical services across the entire system development life cycle (SDLC). As a prime, we are responsible for complete end to end system management for a customer's mission system. This includes a data center, integrated logistics support, COOP, and disaster recovery. As a subcontractor we are providing services from: DevSecOps, software development, network administration, systems analysis, database administration, storage engineering, hardware engineering, Tier 1 - Tier 3 support in traditional data center environments (bare metal frames), cloud, and hybrid cloud. The cloud environments we are operating in today are AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Oracle.

Role & Responsibilities:

Lead Linux Engineering efforts. Provide Tier 3 support to program.

Review C&A documentation providing feedback on completeness and compliance of its contentPerform system installation, configuration maintenance, account maintenance, signature maintenance, patch management, and troubleshooting of operational IA and CND systemsOperates with appreciable latitude in developing methodology and presenting solutions to problemsContributes to deliverables and performance metrics where applicableResponsible for implementing, operating, and maintaining physical and virtual server hardware and systems softwareProvide technical support, administration, and monitoring of Linux systems within a physical and virtual environmentDecommission server(s) upon request through approved engineering change solutionInstall and/or remove service application and scripting componentsMaintain server hardware and software assets in compliance with supporting third party vendor and lease requirements.Implement capacity planning and tuning actions for server assetsProvide support for the implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of IT systems. Rapidly distinguish isolated user problems from enterprise-wide application/system problemsSupport operations, maintenance and troubleshooting for end user workstations, to include desktop applicationsCoordinate with customers and stakeholders to collect data, conduct analysis, develop, and implement solutions associated with incident tickets and requirementsSeek opportunities for continuous improvement to support effective and efficient operationsDevelop solutions to complex technical issuesProvide follow-up reports (technical findings, feedback, resolution steps taken) for Root Cause analysis, engineering technical assessment and process improvement initiativesSupport customer requirements in a 24/7/365 environment and be able to provide on-call support during outages occurring after hours; may involve shift workUpdate operations and monitoring documentation for 24/7/365 Operations Watch personnel

Requirements

Technical Environment: Microsoft, Linux, Splunk, Ansible, Tenable, GEMS

Non-negotiable Requirements:

1. Top Secret with investigation current within the last 5 years

2. On-site, no remote
