Warehouse AssociateDescription**Description**Safely move freight, stock, or other materials to and from storage or production areas, loading docks, delivery vehicles, ships, or containers, by hand or using trucks, tractors, or other equipment.* Reads customer order, shipping order or requisition to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed* Loads and unloads trucks* Sorts and places items on racks according to predetermined sequence* Operates fork lift truck or hand truck to move or hoist shipments from shipping and receiving platform to warehouse storage or work area* Assembles customer orders from stock and places orders on pallets or shelves or conveys orders to shipping department* Stacks lumber in yard or in shed* Drives diesel or gasoline powered industrial trucks equipped with lifting devices such as forklift to push, pull, lift, stack, tier, or move products, equipment, or materials* Performs other duties as requiredRequirements**Requirements**Required Skills and Abilities:Seeks to learn products and the applicationsKnows product locations in yard and warehouseAbility to read a measuring tapeKeeps forklift cleanMaintain yard cleanliness during course of work**Safety Requirements:**Wears high visibility, safety PPE, and proper uniformPerforms daily lift inspectionsAlways looks behind/honks horn when backing/rounding blind cornersSafely operates equipmentPromptly report all accidents/incidents and damaged productsPerform daily safety audit of forklift and promptly report any malfunctioning equipmentKeep aisles and exits clearParticipates on safety committee if needed
