About the role
The FICO Application Specialist takes the lead on strategic initiatives, navigating large projects with finesse using Amcor's Project Management Methodology. From handling SAP cFIN and Finance to Controlling, FSCM, Profitability Analysis, Product Costing, and Asset Accounting, they're the go-to for seamless Roll-out projects, blending Business Consulting and Solution Delivery effortlessly. As a Strategic Advisor, they bridge the gap between IT and business stakeholders, tackling problems, assessing impacts, documenting requirements, configuring applications, leading testing, and ensuring clear communication. Key Job AccountabilitiesWork with Finance stakeholders to understand specific business processes, business drivers and business strategy across multiple areas while being able to instinctively recommend to-be-solutions to resolve new business needs.Identify, propose, initiate and lead significant improvement projects for IT. Defines requirements for the implementation of changes in business functions and supporting IT services.Analyze and document business requirements in Finance and Responsible for delivery of IT projectsLead strategic projects that drive value (cost improvement and/or top line growth)Lead the writing of functional requirements, configures, develops test plans and scripts, conducts component, integration and user acceptance tests. Lead data conversion, data validation efforts, cut over activities, and post live support for system implementations.Coordinate and facilitate business stakeholder engagement and user acceptance testing for Finance and Accounting.Proactively evaluate opportunities to streamline and optimize existing business processesOffer consultation to business stakeholders bringing new ideas and best practices to help the company become more effective with IT systemsManage advanced production support issues and service requests using ServiceNow while committing to timely resolution and SLA adherence. Lead major incident events.Analyze, resolve and documents system changes needed because of defects, enhancements, incidents, missing requirements or other root causesDevelop and assist in the presentation of business cases and system roadmapsManage day-to-day interactions with vendors and collaborate to complete required tasks.Provide level 3 support to issues raised by Helpdesk or Business Support teams.Project Delivery
Prepare, organize & drive workshops with business key users to collect and discuss business requirements together (Depending on projects, external consultants may drive delivery and role becomes advisory)Performs system testing taking into account the business requirements, and as well supports solution documentation according to Amcor standards . When leading externals validates the solution adherence to Amcor standards and consistency with overall solutionParticipate in project planning discussions and clear define dependencies in WBSProvide guidance through the implementation of the SAP solutionIdentify/anticipate roadblocks and communicate it to PMO; Collabrate with Senior managers and work towards successful delivery of project.Provide key-user or end-user support during and after go-liveAdvise other project members in terms of desired evolutions & value creation at stakeQualifications/Requirements
BS or MA in Computer Science, Information Technology, Finance, Accounting or a related fieldMinimum 10-12 years of experience in SAP FICO (FI - GL, AP, AR, AA and Banking modules, CO - CCA, PCA) configuration, development. Nice to have experience in CO - Profitability Analyasis and Product costingMinimum 2 years of experience in S/4 HANA, cFIN, EMEA legal requirementsUnderstanding of Third party tools like Opentext VIM, WinshuttleGood Understanding of RICEF objects - development, test cases.Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in IT project management/business analysisExperience managing Customer relationships at various organizational levels.Experience with formal SDLC methodology desired, as well as with system validation processesStrong end to end business process knowledgeStrong understanding of SAP master and transactional data and reporting interdependencies#LI-Hybrid
