POSITION SUMMARY
The Clinical Manager is responsible for supervising a clinical team consisting of 10 Rehabilitation Specialists (RS), a Nurse and part time Psychiatrist and 100-125 consumers. An assistant team leader may also be assigned.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIESThe Clinical manager ensures that the ACT (Assertive Community Treatment) model is at acceptable rates of fidelity.In conjunction with the consumer, the CSS and all relevant network members, responsible for drafting, updating, and revising when appropriate, the IRP.Responsible for insuring that all documentation necessary for good clinical care and accurate billing is completed on time. One hundred per cent compliance is expected.Monitor proper implementation of the IRP and provide technical supervision to CSS as needed.Conduct daily team meetings and daily team check-ins to ensure that services are being delivered as prescribed by the IRP.Meet with each Rehabilitation Specialist on the team weekly for the first 3 months of employment and on an as needed basis thereafter.Provide team back up and coverage when team Rehabilitation Specialists are out on vacation or sick leave. Provide on-call back-up and triage support.Provide formal training to Rehabilitation Specialists in areas relevant to the mission of the Assertive Community Treatment Program.Directly supervises 10 employees in the Assertive Community Treatment Program. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.Receive training relevant to their positions and to the maintenance of their licenses.In addition to role responsibilities, each staff member of Community Connections has the following responsibilities as a part of their employment:
Models and reinforces Community Connections mission to provide behavioral health, residential services, and primary health care coordination for marginalized and disenfranchised women, men, youth, and children living in the District of Columbia, many of whom are coping with challenges including mental illness, addiction, and the aftermath of trauma and abuse.Models and reinforces Community Connections values of quality, innovation, respect, equity, and integrity daily.Reinforces Community Connection's commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.Protects the privacy of our consumer's protected health information by maintaining compliance with HIPAA and other relevant CC related IT security regulations.Completes and stays current on role specific and organizational wide training.Performs other duties as assigned on an as-needed basis.DESIRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
Master's degree in social work, psychology or relevant human services discipline.Active LICSW, LPC, Psy.D. Licensure in DC required.2 years supervisory experience in related field strongly preferred.Demonstrates advanced knowledge of mental health principles and demonstrated ability to operationalize and implement these principles in mental health practice.Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook).Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner even when dealing with emotional topics.Solves practical problems and manages a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions in both written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.Ability to understand complex clinical concepts (engagement, outreach, empathy, etc.) and interventions over time and to incorporate these into clinical practice under supervision of Clinical Manager.COMMUNITY CONNECTIONS OFFERS GREAT BENEFITS INCLUDING:
