Summary:

At Harcros Chemicals Inc., an employee-owned company with a rich legacy in specialty chemical manufacturing and distribution, we're continuously expanding. With 2 manufacturing plants and 26 distribution facilities across 19 states, we're seeking a dedicated Business Development professional to join our team to assist with opportunities. Reporting to the Regional Manager, this role will be instrumental in enhancing our growing sales functions. As the face of our company, the Business Development Professional will also serve as the primary point of contact for prospects and customers. While this position will have a remote office, our preference is that the candidate is located in Columbus, OH or surrounding area.

Primary Responsibilities & Duties:Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand the company's market presence.Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve sales targets and revenue growth objectives.Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective and existing clients, serving as the primary point of contact.Conduct market research and analysis to identify emerging trends and customer needs.Collaborate with internal teams to develop tailored solutions and proposals for clients.Negotiate contracts and agreements with clients to secure profitable business deals.Track and report on sales performance metrics, providing regular updates to management.Stay updated on industry developments and competitor activities to inform business strategies.Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to promote brand awareness and generate leads.Provide leadership and mentorship to sales teams, guiding them in achieving their goals and objectives.Other duties may be assigned.

Education and/or Experience:Proven track record of success in business development, sales, or related roles, typically with a minimum of 4 years of experience.Experience in the chemical industry required.And/or equivalent combination of education and experience.The Required Skills We Are Looking For:

Demonstrated ability to identify and pursue new business opportunities, negotiate contracts, and close deals.Strong understanding of sales techniques, market analysis, and strategic planning.Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.Familiarity with CRM software and other sales tools for tracking and managing leads and opportunities.Ability to perform advanced data analysis in Excel, such as goal seeking and scenario analysis, to derive actionable insights.Physical Capabilities & Requirements:

Ability to travel frequently, approximately 50%, including driving long distances and walking within client facilities or trade show venues.Capability to lift and carry promotional materials, product samples, and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.Capable of reading documents, analyzing data, and navigating different environments effectively.Ability to hear and comprehend verbal communication in person and over the phone.Capacity to maintain energy and focus during long hours of client meetings, trade shows, and other sales-related activities.Adaptability to work in various environments, including office settings, client premises, and outdoor venues, while accommodating different physical demands.The Impact You Will Make:
