The primary role of the Scheduler is to plan, develop, coordinate and supervise all scheduling functions. Provide planning and scheduling services in support of operating and planned construction projects. Support Marketing/Business Development and Estimating Departments as needed.

1) Organizing and Overseeing the Scheduling Function to Achieve Company Goals:

Provides technical direction and support on scheduling software to operational staff

Develops and implements project scheduling standards and procedures

2) Planning and Baseline Schedule Development:

Facilitates the planning and scheduling functions for all projects

Provides advice in planning and schedule analysis providing options for problem solution

3) Schedule Updates & Reporting:

Monitors compliance with Project Manager and Director expectations and initiates corrective

measures as necessary

Make Baseline Schedule revisions to reflect contractual changes

Develop, monitor and update project schedules with direction from the Project Staff:

Company Master Schedules

Staffing Schedules (PM, Supt., Vacation, etc.)

Individual Project Schedules (Resource Load when appropriate)

Assists Project Managers with claims resolution

4) Estimating Support:

Perform product and vendor research

Conduct onscreen takeoff for quantities

Attend Project pre-bid meetings

Deliver project bids and attend bid openings

Assist with developing and managing project bid files

Assist with soliciting bids from vendors and subcontractors

Monitors and updates estimating schedule

5) Marketing Support:

Identify potential construction projects

Provide preliminary building design and site layout plans – D-Profiler

Provide preliminary schedules for marketing purposes

6) Relationships:

Ensure proper and respectful communication between ALL project stakeholders regarding: safety, schedule, quality control, construction methods, company policies and procedures, permits and other performance standards

Represent AUI with the highest standard of professionalism at all times – Leads by example

Maintain positive, productive relationships with ALL stakeholders, including AUI employees,

Subcontractors, Vendors, Owners, Architects, Engineers and regulatory entities

7) Miscellaneous Duties:

Receive Supervisory guidance with respect to overall objectives; operate within department policy guidelines using independent judgment in achieving assigned objectives and performs additional assignments per supervisor’s direction

Perform business development, networking and marketing activities related to securing clients and winning programs/projects

Ensure project sites and company assets are secure, and maintain a safe and respectful working environment at all times by implementing safety, EEO, risk management, training, and quality control programs

Document best practices to share with other projects by ensuring best construction methods are being used

Adhere to company procedures and policies at all times

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Project Management, or related field.

Experience:

Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in scheduling for construction projects, preferably in renewable energy (e.g., solar, wind, battery storage)

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in scheduling software such as Primavera P6, MS Project, or equivalent.

Strong understanding of project management principles and methodologies.

Knowledge of renewable energy construction processes and timelines.

Analytical Skills:

Ability to analyze project data and metrics to identify trends and issues.

Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Communication Skills:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to effectively communicate complex scheduling information to diverse stakeholders.

Organizational Skills:

Strong organizational and time management skills.

Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.

Interpersonal Skills:

Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills.

Work Environment:

This position may require occasional travel to project sites.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing project requirements.
