This position is responsible for processing outbound and receiving inbound materials to fulfill customer orders within an industrial gypsum production environment through manual labor and the use of heavy capacity forklifts (15,500 lb.) track mobile (rail mover to move railroad cars) machinery to load and unload product on multiple modes of transport including trucks or rail cars.
This position is represented by Teamsters Local #117.
Essential Duties:Processes outbound orders and customer shipments via administrative functions including documentation through enterprise resource planning systems (SAP and internal programs)Champions a safety-first environment and keeps up to date on new safety policies, procedures, and initiatives. Works well with others in a team environmentPerforms quality checks per the quality control plan and escalates issues to Lead if requiredSafely operates mobile equipment and tools to transport wallboard according to quality and specification standards. Moves wallboard loads within the warehouse properly with a forklift adhering to all safety rules and traffic guidelinesProperly add 8 lbs. dunnage (spacers between wallboard stacks) to the trailer according to standards and places dunnage in the warehouse for any transported load placement. Re-supplies dunnage at multiple points in the warehouse using forkliftsInspect and cull out of spec/rejected wallboard from the warehouse with forkliftLoad, move, stack, and unload orders for on-time customer serviceOperate material handling equipment to unload inbound shipments, store into locations, and efficiently pick orders.Move product from outbound staging areas into trailers for shipmentEfficiently pick orders and assemble product for shipment, ensuring that the exact number and product ordered is packed and shipped free of damageUsing voice pick and/or radio frequency equipment for picking, receiving, put-away, and loading functionsCe poste est-il fait pour vous ?

The safety of our associates is our number one goal!High school education or equivalent, or equivalent combination of education and experience to demonstrate proficiencyForklift experience and/or ability to be qualified within the training periodMechanical aptitude to operate machineryProven ability to read, write, interpret and/or apply instructions to assigned activitiesDisplay adaptability, customer focus, and good written and oral communicationMinimum 1 year of Distribution Experience PreferredAbility to read and effectively communicate in English, count accurately, perform simple math, write legibly, and follow directions.Must have good visual acuity, depth perception, and peripheral vision.Ability to tolerate exposure to modest amounts of heat, cold, dust, noise, and vibrations.Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time, lift 30lbs consistently, up to 50lbs occasionallyAbility to maintain a high level of frequency & intensity in other physical activities including, but not limited to reaching, standing, walking, lifting, carrying, pushing, stooping, kneeling & crouching.Pass post-offer background verification, physical and drug screenMust be prepared to work overtime after on the job training is completed
