Free base employee only medical insurance401K Retirement plans with a 4% match for all colleaguesOpportunity to develop your talent and grow within your hotel and across the world!Ability to make a difference through our Corporate Social Responsibility activitiesFun, elegant atmosphere with amazing colleagues!Key Responsibilities:Proactively managing large group sales lead with peak of 60+ room nights.Exceed personal sales goals, monthly, quarterly, annually, through account development and maintenance.Scheduling effective sales calls and appointments within assigned markets, participating in prescribed training and special projects, assisting in the development and training of sales coordinator, collecting market and competitive intelligence to assess and implement strategy and long term goalsConsistently offers prompt professional, engaging and friendly serviceResponsibilities including quoting rates and negotiate group rooms contracts within established parameters, keeping accurate records of potential customers and following through on all potential businessCoordinating with Convention Services and Catering and/or other hotel departments to ensure delivery of hotel's promised services,Utilizing Opera Sales and Catering System to track, solicit, book and follow-up accounts and preparing weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reports as requiredDevelop lead sources and rapport with key personnel at Convention and Visitors Bureau, Industry Partners and Fairmont Global Sales OfficesMaintain active membership in industry related organizations and associations pertaining to the specific market.Support goals, objectives and philosophies of Fairmont Hotels & Resorts and the Fairmont Olympic Hotel SeattleQualifications:Must be able to work legally in the US without restriction now or in the futureBachelor's degree, in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field (Master's degree preferred)Proven experience as a Group Sales Manager or similar role in a luxury hotel environmentStrong leadership skills with a track record of managing and motivating a high-performing sales teamExcellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skillsDeep understanding of the group sales process, market dynamics, and customer requirements in the luxury hospitality sectorAbility to travel as needed and work flexible hours, including evenings and weekendsProficiency in CRM software, Microsoft Office Suite, and other relevant sales management toolsPhysical Aspects of Position (include but are not limited to):Must be able to stand on feet throughout the shift, with intermittent periods of walking;Must be able to occasionally lift and carry up to 25 lbs at shoulder height;Must be able to occasionally push/pull up to 75 lbsMust be able to perform simple grasping, fine manipulation, and repetitive hand & arm movements frequently, and squeezing & overhead reaching occasionally.Must be able to bend, squat, crawl, kneel, push, pull, walk on uneven surfaces on an occasional basisAdditional Information:All your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.Our commitment to Diversity & Inclusion:We are an inclusive company, and our ambition is to attract, recruit and promote diverse talent.We are an equal opportunity employer.
