PER DIEM! You chose when you want to work.Monitor the heart rate and rhythm of patients who require close supervision in a hospital setting. Some key telemetry nurse job duties include:Using electrocardiogram (EKG) machines to continuously track heart performanceAnalyzing EKG results to establish baselines and spot abnormalitiesRecording EKG results to keep patient information accurateOverseeing stress tests to assess patients’ heart functionDelivering emergency medical care when patients suffer heart attacks or other life-threatening problemsOverseeing and coordinating the activities of telemetry technicians and other staff in their unitsAdministering medications and other treatments ordered by physiciansEducating patients on lifestyle changes and ongoing treatments prior to discharge from the hospitalQUALIFICATIONS:Current State Registered Nurse (RN) LicenseMust have at least 2 years of Registered Nurse experience in an acute hospital setting.Must float within scope as needed.Demonstrate the highest level of professionalism when interacting with patients, families, physicians, and hospital staff members.
