Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Yard Driver to join our team. The Yard Driver will be responsible for moving trailers and other equipment around the yard and ensuring that they are properly positioned for loading and unloading. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail and be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Responsibilities:
Move trailers and other equipment around the yard using a yard truckEnsure that trailers are properly positioned for loading and unloadingPerform daily safety checks on yard truck and report any issues to managementAssist with loading and unloading of trailers as neededMaintain a clean and organized yardCommunicate with other yard personnel and management to ensure efficient operationsRequirements:
High school diploma or equivalentValid driver's license and clean driving recordMinimum of 2 years of experience operating a yard truck or similar equipmentAbility to work independently with minimal supervisionStrong attention to detailAbility to work in a fast-paced environmentGood communication skillsAbility to lift up to 50 poundsCDL driver licenseWorking Conditions:
The Yard Driver will primarily work outdoors in all weather conditions. The job may require working weekends and holidays as needed.
2nd shift: 15:00- 240:0 M- F and some Saturdays
3rd shift: 9:00 pm - 6:00 am M-F 40 hours only
