The Account Manager will be responsible for accounts that are concentrated in commercial lines. This unique role will afford the opportunity for the ideal candidate to develop strong client relationships with owners and executives in a variety of industries. In addition to being assigned specific commercial accounts, the ideal candidate will play an integral role on the Team that oversees the largest commercial accounts.
Primary Responsibilities & Duties:
Building and maintaining constructive and effective relationships with internal and external customers by meeting and exceeding expectationsLeveraging commercial P&C insurance knowledge and expertise to actively service existing accounts and cross sell/round out current accountsFostering an environment of personal accountability by managing appropriate system records of service, marketing, and policy communications with clients and carriers in accordinglyNurturing professional relationships through the facilitation of personal client meetings and consistent client contactParticipating in the retention of renewal business. Interacting with producers to prepare specifications, applications, underwriting data and related information in the marketing of insurance productsEnsuring the client has continuous and proper coverage and advising the client of any recommendations within a mutually established timelineReviewing current policies and providing recommendations regarding placement options. Utilizing coverage checklists and a network of industry contacts to determine appropriate coverage and premiumsSupporting the implementation of new lines of coverage by setting up accounts, collecting needed documentation, and reviewing plan details with Client and CarrierExecuting coverage analysis as needed as well as providing the client with accurate quotation for any additional coveragesAssisting Senior Account Managers/Account Executives on processing of certificates, proposal prep, Auto ID cards, endorsements, audits, billing, schedules of insurance, and following up on outstanding itemsRequirements and Qualifications:
3 years+ Commercial Lines client management experienceValid P&C Brokers licenseCollege degree preferredIndustry specific designations preferred- CISR, ARM or similarProficient in insurance agency management systems, EPIC preferredKnowledge of Commercial Lines underwriting, coverage, rate analysis/procedures & experience reportingUnderstanding of marketplace trends and best practices to best meet client needsPossess excellent verbal and written communication skillsDemonstrate proficiency in computer applications, esp. Microsoft Office Suite particularly ExcelAbility to collect, interpret and/or analyze complex data and informationFlexible, and able to work effectively under pressure, handling multiple tasks with interruptions and changing prioritiesExceptional organization and time-management skills
