TransCore-Amtech Systems (AMS), a subsidiary of ST Engineering, is seeking a full-time Sr Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
SummaryResponsible for creating, evaluating, and executing quality assurance processes, procedures and statistical techniques.
Participate in implementing and monitoring processes for an ISO 9001:2015 certified quality systemPerform internal auditing of quality system processesPerform root cause analysis for process and product nonconformancesCoordinate completion of corrective and preventive actionsPerform failure analysis and reporting for RFID productsConduct data analysis for product and process performance using statistical techniquesLead cross-functional teams to facilitate product and process improvementsSupport ESD Control programPerform supplier site audits for supplier qualifications and nonconformancesParticipate on engineering design teams to provide inputs regarding quality for new product developmentMay be responsible for coordinating IPC solder certification trainingMay supervise the activities of teams.Requirements and Qualifications

Minimum 5 years related experienceAbility to write and interpret technical documentsExperience with troubleshooting mechanical and electrical assembliesProficiency with MS Windows and WindowsAbility to prioritize work, be proactive, work independently and pay attention to detail.Excellent communication skills including mentoring/training/presentationActs independently to determine methods and procedures on new or special assignments.Bachelor's degree (B.A.) in Engineering field of Mechanical, Electrical, or Quality Assurance EngineeringPreferred Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: American Society of Quality - Certified Quality Engineer, Manager, or Auditor; IPC Solder Standards: IPC-A-610, IPC J-STD-001, IPC 7711/7721; ANSI/ESD S.20.20 Electro-Static Control Program.Experience with MRP (i.e. Visibility) is desired.
Physical Demands/Work EnvironmentWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand and sit. The employee is occasionally required to walk. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision and ability to adjust focus. The employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
