Who are we looking for?

As we continue to grow, we are looking for a

Federal Business Development Leader - US Navy Eastern US.

In this role you would be responsible for the development and implementation of business development plans, capture management, and sales to the US Federal Government for the US Navy. This position can be based out of any of our GHD locations within the US or remote.

ResponsibilitiesDrives the growth and client goals and objectives in the US Federal Client Sector Plan with a primary focus on the Eastern USLeading business development, client engagement, client service management, and strategic marketingDeveloping and maintaining high value relationships with Federal clientsGrowing market share by partnering with other large and small business partners for Federal capturesImplementing short and long-term strategies that contribute to the growth and profitabilityActively participates in professional and/or industrial organizations to promote the GHD brand.Developing new project opportunities, promote technical service diversification and new growth opportunity initiatives for GHD with existing clientsExpands and maintains current client base aligned with Region or Sector plansSets-up and leads initial meetings and presentations for potential and current clients.Ensures Opportunity Pipeline is accurate and updatedConducts Go/No reviews as the best practice. Critically reviews and approves key proposals submitted to clients, ensuring signing authorities are enforced.Represents and promotes GHD at networking events, professional and industrial associations, society meetings, conferences, and tradeshowsPeople

Adapts well to a highly collaborative work environmentCommunicates regularly with Market and Key Client Leaders and RegionsAttracts strategic hires across all markets to develop the overall businessPerformance

Achieves appropriate and effective pricing strategies to enhance profit in context of revenue growth objectives.Works with Legal for review of Terms and Conditions on non-standard risk engagementsMonitors client activity across Sectors and recommends improved ways of increasing client penetration.Leads, supports, and monitors strategic pursuits in Federal SectorDevelops goals and actions in alignment with the Market, Client Sector, Business Group, and Region business plans.Strong commitment to client service excellence15+ years in the Sector in a client development/account management role with US Federal GovernmentExcellent communication and team building skillsOutstanding verbal and written communication skills as well as organizational and presentation skillsFor success in this position, you will possess the following skills and qualifications:

Bachelor and/or Masters degree from an accredited school in an engineering or related technical field (civil, structural, electrical or mechanical) including architecture). MBA is a plusProfessional Engineer (PE) License or Registered Architect (RA) License a plus15+ years in the Sector in a client development/account management role with US Federal GovernmentExcellent written and oral communication skillsAble and willing to travel to client offices as needed
