401k Match Generous PTO Sick PayJob DetailsWe are seeking a motivated and skilled Class A Electrician/Journeyman for our energy plant operations. As an integral part of our team, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of all electrical equipment within our plant. This includes high and medium voltage systems, electrical controls, motors, transformers, and wiring. You will also be responsible for ensuring the safety and efficiency of our electrical systems, contributing to our mission of energy recycling and waste management. Responsibilities: Install, maintain, and repair electrical control, wiring, and lighting systems. Perform general electrical maintenance on high voltage (4160v), medium voltage (480v), and low voltage (120v) systems. Inspect transformers and circuit breakers and other electrical components. Troubleshoot electrical issues using appropriate testing devices. Repair and replace equipment, electrical wiring, or fixtures. Follow National Electrical Code state and local building regulations. Circuit breaker corrective maintenance. Good knowledge of heating and air conditioning systems. Good knowledge of various test equipment. Compliance with the Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) safety procedure. Maintain, repair, and troubleshoot Variable Frequency Drives (VFD). Participate in energy recycling and waste management initiatives.Qualifications: Proven experience as an electrician with a minimum of 5 years in the field. Experience in the energy industry, specifically with energy recycling and waste management, is highly desirable. Class A Journeyman Electrician license is required. Demonstrated ability to use electrical and hand tools (e.g., wire strippers, voltmeter etc.) and electrical drawings and blueprints. Thorough knowledge of safety procedures and legal regulations and guidelines. Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving ability. Excellent physical condition and flexibility to work long shifts and overnight. Diploma in relevant vocational training or successfully completed apprenticeship as an electrician. Valid license to practice the profession. High degree of attention to detail and a focus on safety is a must. Experience with high voltage, medium voltage, electrical controls, motors, wiring, and transformers. Familiarity with the Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) safety procedure is a must. Ability to troubleshoot and maintain VFDs is highly desirable. Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team, as well as independently.Interested in hearing more?
