Senior Internal Auditor

Join a Dynamic Fortune 500 Company in Houston!We are searching for a highly motivated and experienced Senior Internal Auditor to join our growing Internal Audit team. As a Senior Internal Auditor, you will play a vital role in safeguarding our company's assets, ensuring the effectiveness of internal controls, and promoting sound risk management practices.About the Role:In this role, you will be responsible for leading and performing a variety of internal audit engagements across different business functions. You will partner with operational management to assess the adequacy of internal controls, identify and mitigate risks, and provide recommendations for improvement.Key Responsibilities:Develop and execute comprehensive audit plans, adhering to established methodologies and best practices.Lead and manage internal audit engagements, including fieldwork, testing procedures, and data analysis.Prepare well-written and concise audit reports, clearly communicating findings, observations, and recommendations to management.Collaborate with management to develop and implement practical and effective remediation plans.Stay current on industry best practices, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements (e.g., Sarbanes-Oxley).Maintain a strong understanding of the company's business operations, risks, and controls framework.Foster a culture of control consciousness within the organization.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.CPA or CIA designation preferred.Minimum of 4 years of experience in internal auditing within a Big 4 Public Accounting firm or a Fortune 1000 company.Proven experience in leading and managing internal audit engagements.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).Salary and Benefits:We offer a competitive salary range of $100,000 - $120,000, along with a comprehensive benefits package including health insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, life insurance, 401(k) with company match, paid time off, and more!
