Ignite Reading teaches kids to read.Today, 67% of students and 82% of low-income students can’t read at grade level by the end of third grade. That’s when you are supposed to go from learning to read to reading to learn. It’s America’s number one education crisis and we know how to fix it.Ignite teaches kids to read by providing 15 minutes a day of 1:1 virtual reading instruction. We focus on the reading fundamentals (letters, phonics, and sight words) kids need to master so they can decode a sentence. Our program accelerates reading progress 2.4x and we are disrupting how schools think about reading instruction.Ignite launched our first school implementation in the fall of 2021. Sixteen months later, we will have grown our number of schools and students 35x.Ignite Reading is a mission-driven public benefit corporation. We're on the search for a detail-oriented and innovative Data Analyst. This individual will report to our Senior Director, Data & Systems and will play a pivotal role in understanding the intricate data threads that power our business. From creating insightful reports to working on data-driven projects, the ideal candidate is curious by nature and constantly looking for patterns and trends in data.Key Responsibilities

Develop a comprehensive understanding of our data systems to pave the way for informed, data-driven decision-making across the organization.Identify and address data quality issues, proposing and implementing effective solutions.Manage and enhance our data warehouse and ELT (Extract, Load, Transform) tools to ensure efficient data processing and storage.Craft and optimize Tableau visualizations to facilitate exploratory analysis and deliver actionable insights.Cross-collaborate with various teams, ensuring they are equipped with the necessary data and insights to drive their initiatives and run their operations effectively.Core Competencies

2+ years of equivalent experience or Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Computer Science, Statistics, Business Analytics).Proficiency in Tableau or similar visualization tools.Strong knowledge in a data scripting language such as Python or R.Hands-on experience with SQL for querying and manipulating data.Demonstrated ability to derive insights from complex data sets.Familiarity with ETL or ELT processes and data warehousing.Exceptional problem-solving prowess and meticulous attention to detail.Stellar communication skills.At Ignite Reading, we believe in building and fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace environment.
