Fine Jewelry Brand is seeking a detail-oriented and driven Accountant to join the Finance team! Highly collaborative friendly office culture with tremendous growth opportunity. Overview:Approximate Salary range: $80,000-$90,0005 days in office (Culver City)Required skills: Accounting degree or Finance, 2 + years experience (month end close, tax filings, GAAP, etc)Preferred experience: Quickbooks, FishbowlReports into VP FinanceTeam: VP Finance, Jr. Staff Accountant, Accountant (this hire!)Runs day to day Accounting + full ownership / oversight of financials, monthly close, sales tax filings, approving / coding employee expense reportsWill also support VP Finance with ad hoc projects (e.g. cleaning up / improving accounting policies and procedures, ERP implementation, etc)Benefits: Health, Dental, Vision, 401k Match, phone/parking reimbursement allowanceResponsibilities:Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.General Ledger Maintenance: Maintain general ledger accounts and reconcile sub-ledger accounts to the general ledger. Record journal entries and ensure proper documentation and classification of transactions.Financial Analysis: Conduct ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting as needed, providing insights into business performance and trends to support strategic initiatives.Compliance: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g. Timely file city business tax renewals and property tax beginning of year) and internal policies.Taxes: File monthly / quarterly sales taxes.Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains within the finance function, implementing best practices and streamlining workflows where possible.
