As a Senior Backend Software Engineer at Vidrovr, you’ll be accelerating the development of all backend services to support the Vidrovr platform. You will collaborate with team members from the frontend, machine learning, and product teams to design robust and performant APIs and distributed machine learning pipelines. Your verbal and written communication skills are proactive and efficient, and you share your ideas clearly in a remote working environment. You thrive on learning and are comfortable working with a broad range of technologies.
Responsibilities
Maintain, document, and deploy the Vidrovr platform’s Python API serversImprove the observability of existing machine learning pipelines to better understand their healthDevelop the Vidrovr search features to provide a strong foundation for discoverabilityTest hypotheses for improvements through instrumentation and prototypingWork with key stakeholders to design customer-facing RESTful APIs for flagship product featuresArchitect new tooling and distributed systems for deploying and tuning Vidrovr’s machine learning pipelinesManage individual project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables alongside partners in the product teamProvide guidance to other team members on best practices and patterns for reliable systems
Requirements
Familiarity Python 3, Postgres, and Python web frameworksExperience with high throughput data processing pipelinesExperience with AWS and deploying production applications
