Senior Software Engineer- Manipulation

You will work closely with interdisciplinary teams to design, develop and evaluate new solutions for reliable closed-loop, whole-body manipulation. In this role, you will help design, develop, and deploy grasping and manipulation policies for single and bimanual manipulation with humanoids operating at the leading edge of agility and dexterity.

Technical problems you may encounter include generating multi-fingered grasps on complex objects, designing feedback-based policies for bimanual manipulation behaviors, and exploiting complex dynamics like inertial motions, controlled slip and forceful interactions with the environment.

Write high-quality (documented, tested, maintainable) C++ codeIdentify promising algorithmic approaches, lead design review, and implement solutions to grasping and bimanual manipulation.Work closely with members of the Atlas manipulation, controls, perception, and machine learning teamsDeploy and evaluate your work on AtlasWe Are Looking For

MS in Robotics, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering or a related field.Experience developing scalable complex systems in C++.Experience in closed-loop grasping, dexterous manipulation, and/or control through contact.Strong analytical and debug skills.Ability to work with a diverse team toward a common goal.Nice To Have

PhD in Robotics, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering or a related field.Robot hardware experience.
