Texas Community Watershed Partners (a part of Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service, Disaster Assessment and Recovery Unit) in Houston, TX is seeking applications for a Program Coordinator II. This position will work out of our office in the Clear Lake Houston area (near Johnson Space Center) as part of the Green Infrastructure for Texas (GIFT) program.This position will focus on outreach to Coastal Texas communities related to non-point source water pollution issues, stormwater management, and green infrastructure. The Program Coordinator II, under general supervision, works collaboratively with leadership to plan, develop and implement programs. They will help lead and support green infrastructure planning and education efforts along the Texas Coast.Responsibilities
Works collaboratively with project partners to complete project goals.Leads outreach efforts for upper Texas Coastal Communities.Analyzes, interprets, summarizes, and presents technical information and ideas in an effective manner.Assists in establishing short and long-term goals and strategic planning.Plans and hosts educational workshops for community stakeholders, preparing and delivering trainings both in person and virtually for a wide variety of audiences. In person workshops and training may require lifting or moving moderate weight objects up to 40 lbs.Develops and updates training materials and delivers training.Develops and maintains relationships with stakeholders.Plans, implements, and evaluates programs. Assists in establishing goals, objectives, policies and procedures.Collaborates with others to create new and expanded programs.Effectively represents Extension in meetings with community, business and professional groups, and the public.Prepares reports on program activities.Assists in preparation and monitoring of budgets for programs and events.Identifies and pursues funding opportunities. Works on grant reports and applications, and project scoping.Performs other duties as assigned.Qualifications
Education and Experience:Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.Four years of related experience.Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications.Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Overnight travel is required.THIS IS A GRANT FUNDED POSITIONNote to Applicants
