comprised of Radiation Effects, Reliability, Contamination Control, System Safety and EMI/EMC. This is a dual-role manager position, involving balancing both the overall Functional oversight and management of a Systems Engineering group of ~12 engineers as well as performance of productive work on a program or several programs. The candidate will spend ~20% of their time on support of the organization and ~80% of their time on technical program work. The management side involves organizational administrative activities and helping their employees' performance and career development through guidance and training. The direct program work may include systems engineering technical work, conducting design reviews, IPT leadership, consulting, proposal support, or any other appropriate technical function.Specific management responsibilities include:Recruiting and retentionTrainingCareer guidance and goal-settingPerformance evaluationsCompensation evaluations and coordinationPolicy disseminationEmployee inclusion and engagementStaffing, workload planning/forecasting and time charge approvalsEngineering process development and maintenanceDevelopment and implementation of departmental vision and strategiesBasic Qualifications:Bachelor's + 5 years of exp; Master's + 3 years of exp; PhD + 0 years of exp.Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate diverse and inclusive teams in a leadership role.Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skillsSolid understanding of the Systems Engineering processMust be able to obtain a TS/SCI clearance .Preferred Qualifications:Prior experience with the development of advanced sensor systems, such as EOIR, RADAR, or Passive RF payloadsAdvanced degree in engineeringActive TS/SCIExperience leading teams in a functional, programmatic or technical capacitySalary Range:
$120,800 - $181,200The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
