The City of Fairbanks has a position open for a Deputy City Attorney. Under the direction of the City Attorney, the position provides a wide variety of professional legal services including prosecuting violations of city code (minor offenses and misdemeanors), arbitrating labor disputes, assisting in the development of collective bargaining agreements, drafting contracts, litigating civil matters, representing the city in administrative appeals, and responding to citizen inquiries.
The selected candidate must be admitted into the Alaska Bar, be in good standing, and be able to practice law in Alaska. The ideal candidate is organized, self-motivated, creative, personable, and a strong writer. Some litigation experience is preferred.
The salary range for the full-time position is $104,005.00 – $108,080.00 per year.
