Under the general direction of the Director of Accounts Payable, the Business Analyst supports Montana State University’s Financial Services departments, related business processes, the Emburse Chrome River Travel and Expense Management System, and other electronic business products as needed. The Business Analyst provides Chrome River P-card and travel instruction and guidance to all four campuses.

Duties and Responsibilities

Lead system analyst of Chrome River for all four campusesOnboarding & training new usersTrouble shooting issues using a ticketing systemResponsible for all upgradesWorks closely with UBS, OSP & Fiscal Shared Service

Required Qualifications – Experience, Education, Knowledge & Skills

Bachelor’s degree in business administration, technology, or related field plus progressive experience in information systems management or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Demonstrated experience with desktop productivity tools such as Microsoft Office Products (specifically Teams, Excel, OneDrive, SharePoint, and PowerPoint).Demonstrated experience managing, leading, or playing a key role in the administration of information technology systems.

Preferred Qualifications – Experience, Education, Knowledge & Skills

Experience in higher education.Experience with Emburse Chrome River or other travel and expense management system.Demonstrated working knowledge of Banner Finance.Knowledge of and ability to apply MSU business practices and procedures.
