Position Title: Senior Financial Analyst
Location: Atlanta, Georgia
Reports to: Sr. Manager, Finance
The Senior Financial Analyst is part of the Corporate Supply Chain Finance team, with involvement in financial reporting/analysis, monthly/annual closing, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis. The position will support the FP&A team with cross-functional exposure to Manufacturing, Distribution & Transportation, Sourcing and Business Segment teams.
Key Responsibilities
Provide detailed, timely, and accurate analysis for month-end close consolidation and results review vs budget, estimate and prior year.Support monthly reviews with supply chain leadershipWork with various teams to create and maintain annual budget, annual allocations, monthly forecasts, and R&O consolidationCoordinate and consolidate forecasts across multiple teams and aggregate results, providing concise walks on changes vs. previous estimate and previous yearWork with various teams ensuring that productivity projects are reported correctly throughout project life cycle, aligning with P&L actual results.Act as liaison to the Business Unit teams helping to coordinate areas of shared responsibility.Establish, identify, and share best practices for reporting, analytics, and simplification work with Newell’s Supply Chain Finance & FP&A communityEnforce corporate accounting policies and proceduresAssist with various audit and SOX requestsSupport finance leadership with other ad-hoc requests
Key Qualifications
BS/BA in Accounting or Finance.Three or more years of experience in finance/accounting, some of which are preferred to be in supply chain finance.Strong computer systems skills, with advanced knowledge of spreadsheets and databases (Excel – pivot tables/v-lookups, Power BI).Excellent analytical and organizational skills.Detail oriented, works with a sense of urgency, takes initiative and can work through multiple tasks and meet deadlines.Strong interpersonal and communication skills, positive attitude and works well in teams.SAP and Oracle Experience is a plus.Must be willing to work well in a dynamic changing environment.
