The Vice-President Finances provides the financial leadership and vision necessary to support the company's growth and development plan, ensure the organization's operational efficiency, secure access to capital and ensure the integrity of financial results.Under the supervision of the President and CEO, the incumbent is responsible for the planning, management and control of all financial activities related to the company, including direct responsibility for accounting, finance, financial forecasting, decision support tools, costing, asset management, treasury, procurement and payroll.The VP Finances develops and implements best practices in operational and technological financial management in order to ensure fast, convincing, honest and useful access to financial information and, in so doing, efficient use of financial resources. He or she acts as a custodian of corporate value, educates managers on financial issues related to their roles and responsibilities, and leads the financial analysis of projects submitted by managers and management. He or she is responsible for ensuring that the financial objectives approved by the Board of Directors are met, as well as the performance objectives of the finance function.Main responsibilitiesDirects and oversees all aspects of the company's finance and accounting functions, including treasury, control/audit, business plan development (financial/strategic model), financing, procurement and payroll.Develops and maintains financial management policies and internal control systems to protect the company's financial assets.Oversees the management and coordination of all activities related to the production of the company's financial information, including: financial statements, operational management reports, reports to shareholders, development and monitoring of budgets and various company projects.Develops and maintains excellent business relationships with investors, business partners, financial and regulatory authorities, and corporate management teams.Analyzes the company's financial performance, proposes and implements solutions to maintain and develop the profitability of the company's operations (management by projects, products, etc. with development of business cases).Manages financial resources to ensure that the company meets its short-, medium- and long-term financial obligations in line with its strategic orientations and contractual obligations.Develops and implements the complete financial forecasting process to establish the company's financial needs to ensure the deployment of its strategic plan.Develops the required financing plan as needed, and leads the underlying fund-raising activities and negotiations.Develops and implements a comprehensive budgeting process that translates the company's strategic plan into financial and operational impacts, and ensures the involvement of managers from the company's various functions in all stages of the budgeting process.Structures information systems and business processes to support the organization and ensure the effectiveness of management systems and the performance of financial information systems.Develops and oversees the company's procurement activities and underlying processes.Committedly supervises and develops the team under his/her responsibility, with a view to coaching, mobilizing and integrating the company's values.Conducts a market watch to assess potential risks and opportunities for the company.Assumes all related responsibilities.Education/Experience/CertificationBachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
