The Target Pay Range for this position is $110,900.00-$135,600.00 annually. The full Pay Range is $86,100.00 - $160,300.00 annually. At BECU, compensation decisions are determined using factors such as relevant job-related skills, experience, and education or training. Should an offer for employment be made, we will consider individual qualifications. In addition to your salary, compensation incentives are available for the hired applicant. Incentives are performance based and targets vary by role.BENEFITS

Newly hired employees accrue 6.16 hours of paid time off (PTO) on a per pay period basis based on hours worked (up to a maximum of 160 PTO hours per year) and receive ten paid holidays throughout the calendar year. As a Senior Data Governance Analyst at BECU, you will have the opportunity to proactively execute the standards, guidelines, and processes of the Data Governance Office (DGO), ensuring that BECU’s data is trusted and easily discoverable. Your role involves working with cross-functional teams to create and implement data governance strategies. Your contributions will play a crucial role in the journey of BECU, where your insights and expertise will be valued and fostered for continual growth.WHAT YOU’LL DO:
Identify Key Stakeholders: Determine and engage with key stakeholders, stewards, and data asset custodians to ensure comprehensive decision-making perspectives.Partner with Data Stewards: Collaborate closely with data stewards and custodians to oversee the implementation and ongoing management of data governance for enterprise data assets.Scope Business Area Data Assets: Assess and define the business area data assets to be governed by considering entry and record systems, as well as downstream consuming systems, reports, and analytics.Facilitate Cross-functional Teams: Organize and facilitate cross-functional teams of stewards, custodians, and stakeholders to establish objectives, identify priorities, resolve issues, and make decisions for enterprise data assets.Construct Technical Profiles: Create technical profiles of enterprise data assets to assess data quality and develop insights in collaboration with stewards and stakeholders.Develop Data Guidelines: Facilitate the development of data guidelines for enterprise data assets, including relevant business terminology and business rules.Collaborate on Data Cataloging: Work closely with data stewards, custodians, and stakeholders to ensure proper cataloging of enterprise data assets, including key business terms, data dictionaries, classifications, and lineage.Lead Governance and Quality Issues: Proactively identify, prioritize, and lead the resolution of governance and quality issues for enterprise data assets with data stewards and stakeholders.This isn’t just about ticking off tasks on a list. Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in MIS, Computer Science, or equivalentMinimum two years of experience using end-user data flow and reporting tools such as Tableau, Power BI, SSRS, and Alteryx.Minimum five years of data governance and/or data management experience demonstrating the application of data governance principles.Minimum three years of experience utilizing SQL and/or Python to query, profile, and explore data across structured datasets.Experience documenting business workflows, change management procedures, and data quality processes, along with the knowledge and ability to develop and perform data manipulation, data cleansing, data analysis, and data anomaly detection.Understanding of enterprise data architectures, including centralized and decentralized models, with a conceptual grasp of data modeling techniques and both structured and semi-structured data structures.Desired Qualifications:Advanced degree in a related fieldExperience in the financial services industryProfessional data governance certificationJOIN THE JOURNEY:
