The Director of Development and Corporate Relations is a dynamic and experienced leader in the field of university advancement. This role is pivotal in identifying, cultivating, and securing significant funding from community partners, corporations, and other prospective donors (alumni, friends). The Director will manage a portfolio of 100-150 high-priority donors and prospects, focusing on strategic partnerships that align with the University's long-term goals. This position requires close collaboration with the Associate Vice President for Development, university leadership, and external stakeholders to foster robust engagement and stewardship.Develop and oversee a comprehensive development strategy for major and principal gift prospects, including corporate sponsorships for events.Conduct a minimum of 150 annual engagements (meetings, events, communications) to cultivate and solicit major gifts.Collaborate with University leadership to align fundraising initiatives with the University's strategic priorities.Manage and utilize CRM and donor databases for prospect research, tracking, and stewardship.Participate in local and regional fundraising events to enhance the University's visibility and donor network.Provide high-level stewardship for existing and new donors, including timely reporting and personalized communication.Facilitate interactions between faculty, administrators, and donors for cultivating relationships and exploring funding opportunities.Oversee proposal development for major gifts, ensuring alignment with both donor interests and University needs.Contribute to the management and strategic planning of the department, including setting fundraising goals and evaluating progress.Responsible for impactful donor stewardship and reporting mechanisms in a timely manner and in accordance with the donors' timetable.Ensure a high level of stewardship for assigned individual, corporate and foundation donors, including, but not limited to, the submission of timely mid- and year-end reports and financials as appropriate, and maintaining detailed records of solicitation activities.Responsible for the successful identification of prospects and engagement of donors and for the solicitation of unearned revenue for mission-driven, high-priority university programs.Qualifications/Requirements

Valid Driver's License requiredComprehensive knowledge of theories, concepts and practices and ability to use in complex, difficult and/or unprecedented situations.Advanced Analytical and Project/Process Management skills required.Advanced proposal writing is required.Proficiency in all Microsoft suite is required.
